Peeps! I Am Back!

Please go to my original blog!

I will be disabling further comments on this blog for the time being, but I will keep this blog around in case I need it again. I don't exactly trust Blogger anymore.

Feel free to comment on any of these subjects anywhere you like on the usual blog.

Help Me! Mashed Potatoes!

Since I'm in need of help, I figure it's appropriate to revisit my favorite Geico commercial starring Little Richard and Denise Basik. Denise is one of my idols because she's cute and was able to keep a relatively straight face while sitting next to Little Richard.

You can help me, not by yelling "Mashed potatoes!" even though I would enjoy that, but by clicking here to beg Blogger to unfreeze my regular blog. You can also go to this thread. Don't forget to leave my URL: http://wbjewelry.blogspot.com. I challenge you to leave a highlarious message for Blogger just like Pistols did. This is a work of art. Thank you, Pistols! I thank you, and America thanks you.

Dear Blogger people,

Have I mentioned recently that the blog at http://wbjewelry.blogspot.com
isn't spam and should be unblocked? Well, I should, because it's
important.

Kind of like LBJ's Great Society. I bet that somewhere at
http://wbjewelry.blogspot.com, there's a really important post about
the Great Society that Wendy's been unable to publish because you've
blocked her forever.

Quit being jerks, because it's hurting America.

You know what isn't hurting America? http://wbjewelry.blogspot.com.
So unlock it.

--pistols at dawn.

If you leave a message, please let me know so I can thank you!

Help Me!

Did you know that there IS no email address that works for contacting Blogger? Supposedly they read the help forums. Ha. Just in case: please click here, where I posted about my locked blog, and put in your two cents about how my blog should be unlocked. Maybe if they see the same blog mentioned by multiple people, they will be more likely to take action. Don't forget to mention my URL: http://wbjewelry.blogspot.com.

My blog has been locked since Jan. 18. You might want to mention that as well.

Thanks in advance!

Oh! My! God!

I was checking out my frozen blog sitch and again tried the link that accused me of being spam. This time I got a new message. Please note that this new message says my blog will be unlocked in "less than two business days." Previously it was "within four business days." I first notified Blogger that I wasn't spam on Jan. 18. It is now Jan. 25 and they seem to have started the count over again.

Your blog is locked

Blogger's spam-prevention robots have detected that your blog has characteristics of a spam blog. (What's a spam blog?) Since you're an actual person reading this, your blog is probably not a spam blog. Automated spam detection is inherently fuzzy, and we sincerely apologize for this false positive.

You won't be able to publish posts to your blog until one of our humans reviews it and verifies that it is not a spam blog. Please fill out the form below to get a review. We'll take a look at your blog and unlock it in less than two business days.

If we don't hear from you, though, we will remove your blog from Blog*Spot within a few weeks.

My Saga Continues

I just emailed Technorati again. They're not my main problem right now, but I am hoping if I get that situation resolved it might help the Blogger problem. This is the last email I received from Technorati. Needless to say, my blog has still not reappeared as a "legitimate" blog despite Jose Cardenas's reassurance!

Simply put, spam is a big problem and sometimes legitimate blogs will
get picked up by the stringent spam rules. I can see that since you
mention jewelry, etc on your blog, it could have mistakenly been picked
out. It shouldn't happen anymore since I marked your blog as a
legitimate blog.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions. Thank you
for using Technorati!

Best Regards,

My Real Blog URL

It's here! And I can still read and post comments.

My husband's new journalism project is supposed to focus on the abuse of the weak by the strong, in any context. In all seriousness, I think the monopoly that is Google is ripe for investigation. I've been distressed for a long time about how the page rankings behave. Now this! And of course, in both cases they blame automated computer programs. It's never any Google dude's fault. But who writes the programs? "Don't be evil"! Ha! A million Romanian spammers are having a field day while I'm booted from my own blog.

UPDATED TO ADD: If you are a sex-ay New York area bitch who has NOT gotten an invitation to my next trunk show, email me at wbjewelry at hotmail dot com.

UPDATED AGAIN TO ADD: This is a search term that led someone to my real blog today: "sabotage jealousy jewelry business." Bwah! Tiffany and Cartier are definitely threatened by me, don't you think?

Hi My Peeps!

I just wanted to tell you that now Google and Technorati both hate me with a passion. First I got this from Technorati:

I've taken a look to see why you are unable to claim your blog
"http://wbjewelry.blogspot.com/". It seems your blog was marked for
review. I've made a small adjustment and our spiders have revisited
your blog.

Everything now appears to be working as it should. You should now be
able to successfully claim your blog from:

http://technorati.com/account/blogs

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions. We
apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for using Technorati!
I got that on Jan. 12. Technorati still isn't picking up my blog despite the four or five emails I've sent since that time.

But now things have gotten worse. This is what I just got from my friends at Google:

Dear Blogger user,

This is a message from the Blogger team.

Your blog, at http://wbjewelry.blogspot.com/, has been identified as a potential spam blog. For an explanation of what spam blogs are, please see Blogger Help: http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=42577

You will not be able to publish posts to your blog until we review your site and confirm that it is not a spam blog. To request a review, please fill out the form found here: http://www.blogger.com/unlock-blog.g?lockedBlogID=2660258807099414939

We will take a look at your blog and unlock it within four business days. Please note that if we do not hear from you within 20 days, we will remove your blog. If this blog does not belong to you, then you do not have to do anything. Any other blogs you may have will not be affected.

Since you are an actual person reading this, your blog is probably not spam. We find spam by using an automated classifier. Automatic spam detection is inherently fuzzy, and occasionally a blog is flagged incorrectly. We sincerely apologize for this erroneous result. By using this kind of system, however, we can dedicate more storage, bandwidth, and engineering resources to users like you instead of to spammers.

Thank you for your understanding and for your help in our spam-fighting efforts.

Sincerely,

The Blogger Team
Yep, Google just locked up my blog, because I'm "spam." Fuck you, Sergey, Larry and Eric. I guess it's okay for real spam to flood the world as long as you find a few innocent victims to pick on.
